March Movies 2019
Movies seen in theater only. Total 8.
1) Captain Marvel (3/7/2019) & (3/9/2019) & (3/12/2019) & (3/15/2019)
Before you judge me too harshly. I did not plan to see this movie 4 times in the span of a week. I went to the Thursday night premiere because I was very excited to see this movie. I even dressed up. I did also plan the 2nd showing, because I really wanted to see it in IMAX. The 4th one was also planned because I promised a friend. So I guess maybe I did plan to see this movie many times. Right, so how did I feel about it? I loved it! I have read most of the Captain Marvel comics and I was pleasantly surprised but what they included. Obviously I was happy about the Cat/Flerken. The subtle nods to the comic where great. I also thought Brie Larson did a great job as Carol Danvers. While I was sad that some of her nerdy traits were lost, I appreciated the sarcasm and humor Larson brought to the role. If you are a fan of Marvel. If you love to support female super heroes. If you like the Captain Marvel comics. You'll like this movie. Go see it. 10 out of 10.
My costume. Still a work in progress.

2) Super Inferman - Special Showing (3/19/2019)
So my lovely roommate loves Kung Fu movies. While it is a little bit of a stretch to call this a kung fu movie it does have people fighting in giant rubber monster suits. It was like a weird combo of power rangers and maybe a rip off of Ultraman. I honestly have no idea what the point of the movie was. I think maybe a Godzilla style origin story for a bunch of monsters. The hero is maybe a robot. This movie originally came out in 1975 and the graphics and effects are pretty much what you expect for a low budget movie from that time. Gonna level with you guys. I just laughed through most of the movie. It was entertaining and I will for sure never see it again. 3 out of 10.
3) Nancy Drew (3/20/2019)
I liked this movie. It is everything you want in a movie for young girls. A plucky and funny heroine and a fun mystery. I made my roommate go with me to see this one. Funny story, we were the only 2 people in the theater until the movie started. The other movie goers then included 2 older couples, probably in their 50s and a dad with his young daughter (props to that dad) I only comment on the audience because I am pretty sure they did not advertise for this movie at all, but it is worth seeing. If you have a daughter or are a fan of the classic book series you should go see this movie. 8 out of 10.
4) Us (3/21/2019) & (3/26/2019)
You have to see this movie twice. I wont write and spoilers. I will say that this is a good movie. If you are a fan of movies along the vain of Cabin in the Woods you will like this movie. It is scary and funny and hits all the rights notes. I say you have to see it twice because there are simply too many things happening to catch them all the first time. I will probably have to see this movie at least one more time. Best scary movie I have ever seen in theater. Go see it. 10 out of 10.
