Possible New Years Resolutions

You all ready for another list? I know I am. 2019 Goals/Resolutions.

1) Stop drinking energy drinks.
      - This is hard on multiple levels. I love them and I am addicted to caffeine. Also the peach tea Monster is sooooo good. I think I can quit, but this one might not be one I am ready to fully commit to, but I am going to try!

2) Eat better.
      - So far I have spent the last year eating less, but I would not say better. My love of bread and pasta and my dislike of many types of vegetables makes my eating habits resemble that of a toddlers. Should probably work on that.

3) Really commit to learning Spanish.
      - I have been half-assing this one for a long time. I do practice almost every night, but I know that if I want to properly learn it I need to at the very least double my effort.

4) Open a savings account.
     - Yeah...what can I say, I am a little bad at being an adult. I do have a 401K though...so that is something right?

5) Continue therapy.
     - Seems like this should be easy, but I basically want to stop going all the time. Not because I think it isn't helpful. Just hard to fight that feeling that I am wasting another person's time, even if she is getting paid.

6) Finish my book.
     - It is finished in my mind. Just need to get it done. I think I can. Ideally I can do this in less than a year...time will tell. It's a good goal.

7) Ask for a raise.
     - I have a plan here. I will wait for my review and I will ask for a damn raise. I deserve it.

8) Meet more queer people.
     - I just want this one to happen. I do plan on being active in my pursuit of making more queer friends.

9) Take a real vacation.
      - If I am being honest this one might not happen. I will likely take a trip somewhere for something not fun or not for myself, but I am going to try and plan at least one trip that is just me going somewhere fun and doing only fun things.

10) Fully commit to Roller Derby.
       - These women are intimidating as hell. I will work harder to make an effort to get to know them and not be a wuss about it all the time.

Okay. This feels like a solid list of goals. I will attempt them all and be very happy if most of them at least see forward motion. I have faith in me. This year I have done a lot and I think next year will be even better. Sharing the list makes it even easier to remember my goals and achieve them. So thanks random Internet people.

  1. Roller derby? I have a friend who does this and it looks sooo fun. But my body is too old for that kind of abuse! Go girl!
